Right click on the sticky, select 'Encrypt Sticky'. Enter password (twice) and press OK. Your sticky is now encrypted. Make sure you remember the password, as the encrypted sticky is not recoverable without it. Every sticky can have its own password, which is a sword with two edges. Increased security versus more to remember. CryptoSticky has no key management, so there is no record of the keys.
Again, increased security versus more to remember.

Will CryptoSticky alarms work when the computer is off?

No, CryptoSticky  alarm cannot power on the computer, or wake it up.

How does the networking of CryptoSticky find other workstations:

CryptoSticky will broadcast a name resolution request on start-up. All the active installations will answer with an ID string. This involves minimal traffic (tens of bytes) CryptoSticky will also broadcast a name un-registration request on exit, so all the network stations know not to send to this address any more. The result is a configuration free networking environment.

  How secure is the encryption?

No currently known shortcut exists to break the encryption. The brute force approach will take centuries even if all the computing power of today is deployed to break it. In short, very very safe. The same thing cannot be said for the operating environment. Password sniffers, key interceptors are common today. Make sure you have a clean computing environment before you assume any safety or security.
